Unfair use of Moderation tools

It does indeed seem unfair. Dave thought it was on-topic enough to answer, for him, but closed it for everyone else to answer. This sends conflicting messages. Fortunately a question can be reopened ...

Why is my "circuit review" question getting no attention?

You seem to have done a decent job writing the question, so I just went and upvoted it. However, I'm not going to answer it because, basically, it would be too much work. After a quick glance, this ...

Unfair use of Moderation tools

To clarify: the mistake made here by the moderator was to answer the question. It was correctly closed. Then it was incorrectly re-opened, likely because of this meta post. And now it is correctly ...

May comments be used to answer old unanswered questions?

Absolutely! If people choose to write answers in comments, that's on them. There's no reason for you not to put the same information into an actual answer.

Unfair use of Moderation tools

Your revised version of the question no longer has anything to do with the moderators. Note that this time the question was closed by 5 ordinary users. One reason it got closed may be that you state ...

Replace question based on comments

I think complicated "please help me debug this" questions lead to this sort of issue. The person posting the comment had no real way of knowing whether this would answer your issue or not. ...
